The Internet of Things in healthcare has potential both in financial and medical as IoT growth will be $19 trillion soon. System requirements cannot be complete and there always exist deficiencies in the Healthcare Internet of things (H-IoT). Incomplete requirements give rise to almost 45% of errors during analysis and design. This paper presents that short power, continuous performance, distance, computation, bandwidth, security, mobility, and heterogeneity are some of the challenges that arise in these requirements. Currently, there is no technology standard for H-IoT so standardization is yet another issue. This paper presents an overview of the healthcare information service model, healthcare events with challenges, requirements deficiencies in H-IoT technologies, and security requirements. Comparatively, there are higher security needs in terms of availability and dependability in the case when there are less computing power and storage in an IoT environment.
